Getting married in Cuba

Getting married in Cuba is like realizing your long cherished dream. There can be no place more romantic for taking nuptial vows with your loved one than the tropical island of Cuba. Cuba has on offer all that one can imagine to get married right from theme wedding to exotic one. It does not get over with wedding only as there are several dreamy places to enjoy a long and passionate honeymoon.


Requirements for marriage in Costa Rica

  • passport that is valid throughout your stay in Cuba and a tourist card
  • Birth Certificate
  • If either the bride or groom has been married before, then he/she must produce either Certificate of Divorce or Certificate of Marriage and Certificate of Spouse's Death, whatever the case may be
  • Spanish translations of all legal documents attested by the Cuban consul
  • Document stating the names of the bride and groom, full names of parents – living or deceased, home address, occupations, level of education and nationality

 

The photocopies all the aforementioned documents should be faxed 3 weeks prior to your arrival in Cuba. On arrival, you should carry all the original documents. The marriage will be formalized in the name stated on the passport. The Marriage Certificate is given at the earliest after the solemnization of the marriage.
